Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate, inspire, and mobilize people to better understand the natural world, deepen their appreciation of its complexity, and take meaningful action to preserve, conserve, and protect Earth’s wildlife and ecosystems.

What We Do

Naturalists’ World is a global nature intelligence platform built on shared discovery.

Every week, millions of people around the world document wildlife, seasonal changes, migrations, flowering events, and ecological shifts simply by stepping outside and paying attention. Together, these observations form one of the most powerful, real-time records of life on Earth ever assembled.

Naturalists’ World independently analyzes this publicly available data to reveal patterns that are often invisible at the local scale, how seasons are shifting, where species are appearing or disappearing, and how ecosystems respond to weather, climate, and human activity. Through evidence-based storytelling, visualizations, and accessible summaries, we translate raw observations into insight, context, and meaning.

By connecting people through shared discovery and evidence-based storytelling, Naturalists’ World helps humanity see nature not as something separate, but as something we are part of, responsible for, and capable of safeguarding together.

Our work is educational and interpretive, not institutional. Naturalists’ World independently analyzes publicly available iNaturalist data. iNaturalist is a trademark of the California Academy of Sciences and the National Geographic Society and does not endorse or sponsor this content. We deeply respect the global community of observers, identifiers, and scientists whose contributions make this collective understanding possible.

Ultimately, Naturalists’ World exists to turn awareness into stewardship, helping people move from observation to understanding, and from understanding to meaningful action in support of Earth’s ecosystems and wildlife.
